Jensen Chang, PharmD

Jensen is the president and founder of Hospicare Pharmacy. He is also an adjunct clinical assistant professor and preceptor at the University of Southern California (USC) and University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He was born in Taipei, Taiwan and came to the United States when he was 14. He graduated from University of California, Riverside with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and then went on to attend USC, School of Pharmacy where he received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

With a special interest in human behavior and science, Jensen completed his post-doctoral residency in psychopharmacology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio under the guidance of Drs. Stephen Saklad and Larry Ereshefsky. He later served as a clinical pharmacist at the Los Angeles County Augustus Hawkins Mental Health Center and California Metropolitan State Hospital before crossing over to the pharmaceutical industry and worked as a regional medical science manager at Bristol-Myers Squibb Neuroscience.  With his experience and knowledge in psychiatric pharmacy, particularly  pain management, and working with mental health patients, he has learned much about dedication and compassion. He founded the only pharmacy in Southern California that is entirely devoted to care for hospice patients in 2003.
